Welcome to the official website for the Nelson Radio Controlled Car Club.
NELSON OFF ROAD RC RACING
The Nelson Radio Controlled Car Club is proud to offer OFF ROAD radio controlled car racing, Nelson New Zealand.
We offer a wide range of RC car classes including;
1/8th Off Road Gas and Electric powered Buggies and Truggies.
1/10th Off Road 2wd and 4wd electric powered Buggies and Trucks.
We also offer an open class for all those scale models without a specific class.
The NRCCC cater for all RC racers, beginners to experts, just make sure they have replaceable frequencies or are on 2.4Ghz Radio gear.
The Off Road Track:
One of New Zealand’s premier Off Road RC tracks. With a technical infield, long straight and sweepers, this clay based Off road raceway is a challenge for all levels of racer, forcing drivers to look for the best mix of speed and acceleration.
The track has a technical layout boasting off camber corners, challenging triple jumps, step ups as well as a large Power jump sending the cars over 2.5 metres into the air.
Come and join the Action with the NRCCC.
When:
NRCCC race Off Road twice a month, on the first and third Sundays of each month.
Registrations close at 9:30am, racing starts shortly after 10am. On our race days the track will be open to the public to race with us, we of course welcome all spectators as well, however only members of the club are permitted on the premises at times other than these race meets.

Where:
The Off Road track is located in the far northern corner of the A&P show grounds, lower Queen St Richmond Nelson. A&P is private land and therefore the facility will only be open to the public on race days.
NELSON ON ROAD RC RACING
The Nelson Radio Controlled Car Club ON ROAD Car Racing.
We offer a wide range of RC car classes including;
1/10th On Road Touring car modified 4wd. (Open Electric motor)
1/10th MO chasses Mini class. (Very specific rules as specified by the NZRCA)
1/10th Nitro Touring car 4wd.
We also offer an open class for all those On Road scale models without a specific class. Or if four or more of a specific style this class will be added to our series.

The On Road Track:
On Road is raced in a marked car park in the Saxtons Field complex. The track has a mixture of tight and technical corners combined with a fast straight and sweepers, painted disks marking internal corners, a combination of timber and ropes mark the layout. The race track is constructed each race day.
The club is working toward a purpose built asphalt track in the future.
When:
NRCCC race On Road once a month, on the second Sunday of the month.
Registrations close at 9:30am, racing starts shortly after 10am.
Where:
The On road track is situated on the Asphalt car park located in the far southern corner behind the Saxtons Cricket oval, and will be set up each race day.
